Stainless Steel 904L Angle is a type of austenitic stainless steel that is better at resisting corrosion than SS 304. Because it has less carbon than the 301 to 303 series alloys, Stainless Steel 904L C-Channel can be used for welding. Stainless Steel 904L H-Beams are used in the chemical, food, paper, mining, pharmaceutical, and petroleum industries.

Description

They are also great for applications that need to be fabricated or formed. At higher temperatures, Stainless Steel 904L I-Beam has higher creep, stress-to-rupture, and tensile strength, as well as good corrosion resistance and strength. Because Stainless Steel 904L T-Beam has less carbon in it and doesn't become sensitive, it is often used in high gauge welded components. It can withstand corrosion from pitting in potable water with up to 1000 mg/L chlorides at room temperature, but only about 300 mg/L at 60 degrees C. Stainless Steel 904L Chain can be used intermittently up to 870°C and constantly up to 925°C without rusting.

Due to the addition of molybdenum and a slightly higher nickel content, these 904L Stainless Steel Angles are good for use in architecture in harsh conditions, from polluted maritime environments to sub-zero temperatures.
