ALLOY UNS N08904 ELECTRODE

An electrode that has a high tensile strength and is regulated by hydrogen and has a heavy coating. The electrode functions properly in any position, producing almost little spatter and leaving behind slag that can be removed with relative ease, all while producing a bead with a pleasing aesthetic. There is around 110 percent efficiency in the deposition.

Description

An electrode that deposits 1.25 percent Cr and 0.5 percent Mo weld metal. This electrode is of the heavy coated, basic type, and has a low hydrogen content in all positions, with the exception of the vertical down position. The electrode is of the synthetic variety and is designed for use in the welding of creep-resistant steels of comparable composition. These steels are typically found in power generation plants that operate at temperatures of up to 570 degrees Celsius. X-rays show that the welds are of a high grade.
