Description
The 1.4539 Bolt is resistant to stress corrosion cracking and crevice corrosion as a result of the high nickel and molybdenum content in the bolt's composition. It is necessary to first cold work grade 904L and then subject it to solution treatment in order to get the highest possible level of resistance to stress corrosion cracking. Bolts of grade 904L are, despite this, prone to stress-related cracking, particularly in environments that include chlorine. The 904L Screws are useful in a variety of settings, including piping systems, gas scrubbing plants, oil refinery components, pollution control equipment, seawater cooling devices, heat exchangers, and bleaching systems. They are also utilised in facilities that manufacture sulfuric acid, phosphoric acid, and acetic acid, as well as in the wiring used in electrostatic precipitators and the pulp and paper processing industries.
